I must report on the effectiveness of this recycled lumber

I must report on the effectiveness of this recycled lumber, both as a leveling material and as a vibration-dampining media. The lumber varies in thickness from 3/4″ to 3-1/2″ to give the bell a flat footing on the domed roof.

The 821-lb. bronze bell that chimes from the top of the clock tower rests on recycled plastic beams manufactured by Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls.
