A Sales Order Acknowledgement will be returned to you within 24 hours of placing your order. It is the customer’s responsibility to review the acknowledgement to ensure the order is entered into our system correctly. If the customer does not reply to the initial order acknowledgement within 24 hours a second attempt will be made. All orders will be held until such time as the customer has acknowledged the order. Acceptance can be made via email reply to Order Acknowledgement or by signing the Order Acknowledgement and returning it via fax to 641-648-5074. Once the customer has signed-off that the order is correct Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls will begin processing the order.
Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls manufactures and maintains an inventory of over 1 million dollars of finished goods. This allows us to quickly ship orders for the majority of our products. Most products are shipped within 7 – 14 business days from receipt of order. Customized products or orders for large quantities may have a longer lead time depending on our inventory at the time an order is placed. With a wide array of multiple extrusion lines, we are typically able to schedule and produce items that are not in stock to meet requested delivery dates. If a specific delivery date is needed every attempt will be made to fulfill the customer’s request. Orders are processed and shipped during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday. Shipments can be arranged for Friday if required to meet specific delivery dates.
Payment terms are Net 30 days from date of invoice with approved credit. Current prices apply at time of shipment. We reserve the right to change specifications and prices without notice. Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls also accepts MasterCard and Visa. Credit cards will be charged prior to an order shipping.

Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls has a policy of continuous improvement and reserves the right to discontinue or change specifications without notice.
Because our products are manufactured from 100% recycled plastic, slight changes in the raw material source may affect the size, color, and weight of the finished product from run to run. Product weights and sizes listed are approximate and may vary.
Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls manufactures a variety of sizes of non-structural recycled plastic lumber. The plastic lumber is sold in standard 6’, 8’, and 12’ lengths. It is sold “as manufactured”, meaning the length of plastic lumber varies and can be up to 6” longer; ie: a 12’ board may actually measure 150”. If the customer wishes the lumber to be exact length a cutting charge will be applied as follows:
2” x 2”, 2” x 3”, 2” x 4”, 2” x 6”, 3” x 3” and 3” x 4”………$0.25 per cut
2” x 8”, 2” x 10”, and 4” x 4”……………………….…………..…$0.50 per cut
3” x 10”, 4” x 6”, 6” x 6” and 6” x 8”…………………………..$1.00 per cut
If the customer desires to order a specific cut-to-length item that is not a standard length sold by Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls, they will be charged for the standard length offered plus any applicable cutting fees. At the customer’s request any lengths that are unused for the order may be sent to them, otherwise the cut-offs will be recycled by Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls. Customer must specify that they want the cut-offs at time of order.
Additionally, the plastic lumber has a mold overflow protrusion (“knob”) on one end as a result of the manufacturing process. The knob can be ground off at no charge, but the customer must specify this at the time of order.
Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls will send small product samples at customer’s request at no charge. These samples are typically 2” – 6”. If expedited shipping is requested the customer will be responsible for the shipping charges. The customer will be charged for product cost and shipping charges for larger product sample requests.
SHIPPING & HANDLING
Customers are responsible for all shipping & handling charges. These charges will be prepaid by Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls and added to the customer’s invoice, or the customer may arrange their own transportation at their cost. If the customer is arranging transportation they must provide Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls a completed Bill of Lading 24 hours prior to scheduling pickup.
Due to the size and weight of the majority of products, orders ship via common carrier (semi-truck). All common carrier shipments are “tailgate delivery”. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide adequate personnel or equipment to unload the shipment from the truck when it arrives. The truck driver is under no obligation to help you unload. Additional charges may apply for those deliveries requiring more than customary tailgate delivery service.
Residential delivery, lift gate service, and call-ahead delivery are available at an additional charge and must be specified at the time of the order.
Residential Delivery: Non-commercial deliveries are considered residential or limited access locations by the trucking companies and may charge a higher shipping rate as they may need to use special equipment to make delivery. If it is not disclosed to Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls that it is a non-commercial location at the time of order and the trucking company charges an additional fee, the customer will be invoiced for the additional charges incurred.
Lift Gate Service: If the customer is unable to unload the shipment from the truck, “lift gate service” may be requested at an additional charge. If ordered, the driver will then lower the shipment to the ground. If the customer does not pre-order the tailgate service and the recipient receiving the shipment instructs the driver to perform such service at time of delivery, the customer will be invoiced for the additional charges incurred.
Call-Ahead Delivery: Destinations that do not have standard business hours for truck deliveries should request 24 hour notification or a delivery appointment to insure that someone is there to unload the shipment when it arrives. There is no fee for this service; however, this option needs to be noted at the time of the order.
PLASTIC RECYCLING OF IOWA FALLS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES NOT PRE-AUTHORIZED BY US.
Redelivery: A redelivery fee may occur when the carrier attempts to deliver the shipment and is either sent away for some reason, or there is no one there to receive the freight. The carrier will typically make an additional attempt to deliver the shipment and if they are still unable to make delivery the shipment will be placed in storage until such time as delivery arrangements can be made or the shipment is returned to Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls. The customer will be invoiced for any storage fees and/or all freight charges incurred.
Damage/Shortage: It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect all products completely upon arrival and note any damage or missing parts on the Bill of Lading before signing for receipt of the shipment. If possible, take photos and report the damage or shortage within 48 hours. If the damage was not noted on the Bill of Lading when the shipment arrived, an attempt can be made to file a claim with the trucking company for “concealed damage” as long as the claim and photos are submitted within 10 days. After 10 days we are no longer able to file a claim with the trucking company, therefore all costs to replace damaged or missing parts will be the customer’s and Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls will no longer be obligated to replace any damage or missing parts. All paperwork should be kept until the inspection process is completed.
Returns: If the return is a result of our error or the product received is deemed defective through no fault of the customer, a replacement will be sent at no charge to the customer and arrangements will be made by Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls to pick up the incorrect or defective products.
You may return items purchased within 30 days of the original delivery in accordance with the following:
- Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition and is subject to a 20% restocking fee for all lumber and site furnishings and 10% for all traffic control items. Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, misused or non-resalable items. Once the item had passed inspection, a credit will be applied to the customer’s account.
- Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer is responsible for return shipping charges. No COD shipments will be accepted.
- If an item is engraved or modified it is non-returnable. If it is a component of an item, a salvage credit will be issued for any undamaged or unaltered components. Any lumber orders that are cut to length for you are final and returnable at Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls discretion.
- Orders may be cancelled without penalty prior to shipment, with the exception of customized items. If products have shipped prior to cancellation request, it will be handled as a return, described above.
A Return Authorization Code must be received from Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls prior to any product being returned or credit may not be applied.
